It’s a Holiday
Monday, January 16th, 2012Well, folks, today is a holiday but unfortunately my credit card processing company doesn’t take it as such. So we are all here today while the rest of the city is pretty quiet. Of course, not all businesses are closed today but it sure does feel like it. The one pro of working on a holiday is that the traffic isn’t anywhere near as bad as it usually is on my morning commute. Not having kids in school also helps.
It makes sense that we don’t take this quasi-holiday off because stores don’t either and those are the majority of our merchant account clients. If they have problems during the day we have to be here to help them. We do, however, get President’s Day off, which I am really looking forward to. Its only five weeks away, but who’s counting. Unfortunately after that we don’t have another holiday until May.
